Legacy Gary Member Stories – The Courage to Release
Since Gary Young’s passing, we have put a lot of thought into how to continue the D. Gary Young blog. We wanted to foster a stalwart commitment to Gary’s legacy, so we asked members to think of a fond memory of their time working with him on projects, on travels, at one of the farms, or in another setting, to share those memories with you.
Here’s one such memory from Terry S:
When I was a fairly new member and attended my second convention, Gary shared an emotional release protocol. I remember thinking how transparent this was, to talk about something people generally ignore to carry on a facade. Here was our founder addressing what few have the courage to face.
Returning home, I prepared myself with time, the best oils I had, and the protocol, which began significant healing from the first protocol, which never before would have occurred.
Gary wouldn’t know the impact he had on me from that convention; so when you asked for a story, I thought “I don’t have a Gary story.” But I do.
I’m grateful for his vision and what’s manifesting in the world because he had the courage and support to work smart and hard for it.
To be a part of it is a privilege that continues to realize the contrast from entitlement.
I believe it’s the birthright of every Young Living member to have wellness, purpose, and abundance. I didn’t come in to be a leader; but the longer I’m in Young Living, I realize the responsibility of developing leadership skills if I’m to take advantage of that birthright.
We’ve got a unique culture, creating a movement that I’m thrilled to have in my life.
Thanks for asking and I look forward to reading the stories collected.
